Liberty’s Grawe sprints to Quincy University

LIBERTY, Ill. (WGEM) — It’s been a week to remember for Liberty track and field standout Kolton Grawe.

He broke a more than two decade-long school record in the 400 meters in Rushville and followed that by becoming a college athlete.

Grawe put pen to paper and signed his national letter of intent with Quincy University on Wednesday.

"I was wanting to stay close to home and the academic scholarship I’m getting, along with track, is really going to make it a good decision, and it’s going to be cheaper for me," Grawe said.

"It’s amazing. I’m so excited (and) I’m ready for it. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted."

Grawe plans on concentrating on the sprints with the Hawks, mainly the 100, 200, and 400.
