Two more vehicle thefts reported in Fort Madison

The Fort Madison Police Department has reported two vehicle thefts in Fort Madison.

This comes following a report Tuesday of two related vehicle thefts by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Police stated that on Sunday they received a report of a stolen tan colored 2004 Ford Crown Victoria in the 1500 block of 38th St. in Fort Madison.

Early Monday morning police recovered the vehicle in the 600 block of 35th St. in Fort Madison, according to police.

Shortly after the recovery of this vehicle the report of a stolen 2003 Gray Dodge Ram in the 3400 block of Ave. E was made.

This vehicle was later recovered in Rural Lee County where another vehicle was reported stolen.

WGEM earlier reported on the vehicle that was recovered in Lewis County, Missouri where suspect Christopher Guzman, 18 of Fort Madison was apprehended.

As a result, the Fort Madison Police have issued arrest warrants for Guzman.

Guzman is currently being held in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 cash only bond.
