The Lee County Narcotics Task Force has reported the arrest of a Keokuk man on a felony drug charges.
Commander Jay Whitaker stated that Joseph Dunne, 32, was arrested June 15th on felony drug charges. Dunne was charged with two counts of delivery of less than five grams of methamphetamine, second or subsequent offense, a class C felony with enhancements. If convicted, Dunne faces up to 60 years in a state correctional facility. Dunne also had a warrant for probation violation.
Whitaker stated the arrest of Dunne stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that he was involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in the Lee County area.
The Lee County Attorney’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Keokuk Police Department, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.
