Residents have the chance to weigh in on the proposed building of a new swine facility in Adams County Wednesday night.
The proposal by Pike Pigs Systems/Gin Ridge LLC is to build a facility, located roughly two and a half miles northeast of Columbus.
Officials said it would produce roughly 65,000 pigs per year and generate more than $35,000 dollars in tax revenue for Adams County.
The meeting Wednesday night is meant to give residents the opportunity to ask questions about the proposed facility and share any concerns.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Adams County Courthouse.
