School supplies can add up for families in the Tri-States.
That’s why a Quincy teen took it upon herself to raise money to help them out.
13-year-old Emma, set up a slime stand at the Farmer’s Market in Washington Park Saturday morning.
Emma plans to buy school supplies and backpacks for the Back to School Fair in August, to help those that can’t afford to buy them for the upcoming school year.
"Well, our church helps with the second grade backpacks and we’ve helped them out before, so that kind of gave me an idea," Emma said.
She raised close to $100.
She’s not sure when she’ll be selling the slime again but she plans to continue to help others with her business.
