Adams County State’s Attorney Gary Farha in cooperation with Chief Rob Copley and the Quincy Police Department announced Monday that Travis Wiley was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery to a Child.
Farha praised the work of the Quincy Police Department and specifically Detective Kevin Taute and Detective Sergeant Bryan Dusch, as well as the St. Louis City Medical Examiner.
Nearly six months ago Travis Wiley murdered a defenseless two month old child. In the past six months, Detective Taute, along with multiple members of the Quincy Police Department and the State’s Attorney’s Office, have worked tirelessly to ensure that Mr. Wiley is held accountable for his conduct. My office will continue the tremendous work that the Quincy Police Department began and will fight to see that justice is done for the victim, her family, and our community.
Wiley has been charged with three counts of First Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Battery. He is currently being held on a five million dollar bond in the Adams County Jail. He was expected to make a first appearance on these charges Monday at 10:30 in Courtroom 1A.
