Palmyra councilmen discussed storm water improvements again at Thursday night’s city council meeting.
In April, voters denied two ballot issues to raise sales taxes by a combined half cent to fund storm water improvements. Now the council is discussing the possibility of a new ballot issues that would only increase sales taxes by a quarter of a cent.
"We spent money with Klingner & Associates to find out and identify all of our issues in town. So no we have a plan to take care of it. We just don’t have a revenue source to do it yet." said 1st ward councilman Ken Sheputis.
The next ballot the issue could appear on would be the November ballot but council members say they will most likely put it on the April 2019 ballot.
