The Quincy Park District has agreed to a 10-year contract with the Avenue of Lights for naming rights for Wavering Field.
The contract would cost $150,000 for ten years. No word yet on what the final name for the field will be.
At Wednesday night’s board meeting, commissioners also unanimously agreed to spend $164,000 to convert Wavering Field to synthetic turf.
The look of the field would be similar to that of neighboring Pepsi Field.
