Quincy (WGEM) — The new Adams County Jail is set to be completed on time, according to county leaders.
Jail Committee Chairman Mark Peter said the construction is on schedule, as they’re setting the concrete right now. Peter said about one half to two thirds of the concrete is already set and the walls are up. The next step is to take care of the structural work inside.
“They’ve done very well, of course the weather has been favorable and everything is coming in a timely fashion,” Peter said. “The components have all been on time and there haven’t been any major setbacks at this point.”
Peter says the project is set to be finished in September or October of 2019.
