Hannibal police arrest two women on drug related charges

The Hannibal Police Department reports the arrest of two Missouri women on drug related charges.

Lieutenant J.M. Grote stated that Nicole Fernando, 41 of Hannibal and Sherry Harper, 43 of St. Peter’s Missouri, were taken into custody on Sunday.

The arrest came following the execution of a search warrant in the 2200 block of Spruce where a large quantity of heroin along with methamphetamine and cocaine was found, Grote stated.

Grote reported that Fernando was arrested for the deliver and manufacture of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and assault on a law enforcement officer. 

Harper was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Fernando was placed on a twenty four hour hold and taken to the Marion County Jail.  Harper was released pending charges.         

UPDATE: The Hannibal Police Department reports that on Monday a warrant was issued for Fernando charging her with Three Counts of Delivery of Controlled Substance, Class C Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class D Felony, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Class E Felony, and Assault, Class A Misdemeanor.

Fernando’s bond is set at $100,000 cash.  She remains in the Marion County Jail.
