Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in crash

A Quincy man was taken to Blessing Hospital with moderate to serious injuries after he was hit  by an SUV on his motorcycle.

According to the Quincy Police Department, the crash happened at 48th and Broadway just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. 

Police said a Hyundai Tucson SUV driven by Keiley Meyer, 18, of Quincy made a left turn in front of Nathen Hoover, 25, who was driving a Yamaha motorcycle in the westbound lane.  Hoover’s motorcycle hit Meyer’s car.

Hoover was transported to Blessing Hospital by private vehicle and was said to be in stable condition at last check.

Meyer was not injured, but was ticketed for failure to yield.
