A Pittsfield, Illinois, man has been charged with murder in the death of a woman he lived with.
Court documents stated David Sampley was charged with first degree murder. They stated he caused Sharon Welch’s death by forcing a sock in her mouth and walking on her.
Sampley was found unfit to stand trial following a mental evaluation, but his status could change.
