Police identify body found on Hannibal riverfront

The Hannibal Police Department has identified a body that was recovered Saturday from the Hannibal riverfront.

Assistant Chief Lt. John Zerbonia reported that the body was that of a 65-year-old Quincy man.

"there has been an update on the deceased male that was located in the river Saturday morning– there’s been an autopsy performed by the Boone County Medical Examiners office, there are no signs at this time that foul play was involved but the investigation is on-going," said Zerbonia.

The Marion County Coroner identified the man as Keith Johns who was formerly of Palmyra, Missouri.
