Quincy’s Park District is making some big changes to the riverfront.
Work continues on the Clat Adams Park fountain. Crews are doing demo work as they prepare to put in a brand new two tier water fountain.
Park District officials said this project will help attract even more people to the riverfront.
"It’s an important project for us because it’s the first thing you see when you come to Quincy from Missouri and it’s just kind of our signature park down here by the river," said Director of Parks Matt Higley.
The parks district expects the water fountain to be completed by next spring.
