Man pleads not guilty to murder charges involving infant

A man accused of killing a two-month old baby in Quincy earlier this year plead not guilty Wednesday morning.

In July, Travis Wiley was charged with three counts of First Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Battery of a Child.

The Adams County State’s Attorney’s Office stated that the child was shaken on January 20 while in the care of Wiley and died at a St. Louis hospital two days later.

Court records indicate Wiley appeared in court Wednesday morning and plead not guilty to the charges. They stated a status hearing was scheduled for October with a jury trial scheduled for November.
