A rodeo to help fight a childhood cancer

The 9th annual Ethan’s Rodeo kicks off Friday evening at the Adams County Fairgrounds.

There will be bull riding, barrel racing, concerts, activities for kids and more. This is all in memory of "young cowboy" Ethan Weiman who lost his battle with Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer. Ethan’s family hopes it won’t be as scary of a diagnoses one day for other families.

"It means a lot to us," said Ethan’s father, David Weiman. "It’s a way for us to get together and remember who and what Ethan was and it’s also a way for us to do something about the disease he had. The money that we raise for this goes directly into research."

Admission tickets cost $12, box seats cost $30, and children 6 and under are free. Gates open Friday night at 5 pm and Saturday night at 4 p.m. with the rodeo starting at 7:30 p.m.
