Murder charges filed against Meredosia man

A Meredosia, Illinois, man is charged with three counts of first degree murder for the death of a Rushville, Illinois, man earlier this year.

Dustin Finlaw, 19, was arrested in May on several charges including aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer in connection to the death investigation of Robert Utter, 42. On Tuesday, murder charges were added, according to court records.

Finlaw is accused of killing Utter in May.

Authorities said at the time that the body of Utter was discovered near Naples Boat Club in Meredosia. They said that Utter had several stab wounds that led to his death.
