Quincy Veterans’ Home asks for community input through survey

The Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs is looking for the community’s input for the future of the vets home in Quincy.

A ten question survey is now available to take online in an effort to gain feedback for Quincy’s master plan project team. This comes after Legionnaires’ disease killed 13 residents at the home and Governor Bruce Rauner called to build a new facility.

The survey reflects the governor’s plans and asks for input on the entire campus.

"It includes the deer park, the library, Lippincott Hall and the restaurant on campus," said Administrator Troy Culbertson. "It’s a comprehensive quest to develop a plan and they’re using this survey as just a small piece of it."

The survey will be available to take until mid to late October. The new master plan is expected to be complete by the end of the year. Click here to take the survey.
