Library encourages families to get library cards

We are a couple days away from September, which is also Library Card Sign-Up Month.

The Quincy Public Library staff said they offer free library cards to all ages who live in Quincy or surrounding townships. They said with a library card you can access eBooks, premium resources, program priority, movies, music, magazines, and computer use. They add this is a great time to make sure you have library cards for the entire family, especially now that kids are back in school.

"It is a great for families to start that habit of coming to the library on a regular basis, material those materials not only for their children, but for themselves and to teach their children that this a resource free to them where ever they happen to be," said Katie Kraushaar, QPL Information Services Manager.

You will need proof of residency to sign-up for your library card at the library.
