Monday morning, dozens of people came together to honor their loved one, by riding motorcycles around town.
This year’s ride marked the 10th annual ride in honor of Chuck Fletcher, who was killed in a motorcycle crash in 2008. The ride goes through New London, Missouri, and around Mark Twain Lake, as Fletcher was a lifelong resident of Ralls County, who helped build the lake.
"To get together in memory of Chuck," Ride Coordinator Ann Gerling said. "He had an accident on September 1, 2008 and so it happened to be Labor Day that year. So we’ve just decided that Labor Day of every year is when we’d come together in his memory."
The motorcycle ride concluded with a social event to share stories about Chuck and enjoy some food.
