For more than 40 years, the Machinist Lodge in Quincy has been hosting a Labor Day Picnic.
The Lodge’s President Steven Schutte said celebrating Labor Day is an important day to remember the rights Unions have fought for, not just for Union workers, but for everyone.
"It’s a day for labor," said Schutte. "Come out we have fun, we talk to each other and communicate and see people they haven’t seen in a long time."
There were activities for all ages, such as, a bounce house for children, bingo, and a free chicken dinner.
