The United Way of the Mark Twain Area will kick off their 2018-2019 ‘Be the Change’ Campaign with Taste of the Mark Twain Area at the Rialto Theater on Thursday night.
From 5:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. there will be food, entertainment and music. Tickets are $10 per person or $25 per family.
The goal for the campaign is to raise $400,000 for multiple organizations that serve the community, according to Denise Damron, Executive Director of the United Way of the Mark Twain Area.
"It’s a great time to come together as a community and truly kick off the campaign and really have an opportunity to really connect with individuals as a community," Damron said.
Hannibal Free Clinic, which provides primary health care for uninsured, low income adults, is one of the organizations benefiting from the campaign. Clinic Manager Sharon Webster says the money will go toward supplies and utilities.
