Rain did not stop around 200 people from experience what life was like in the 1800s.
The 10th annual Frontier Settlement Day took place on Quinssippi island at the log cabin village. Families were able to experience different games and activities from the 1800s and even President Abe Lincoln made an appearance.
"What the see and get a feel for is what life was like back in the 1800s without cell phones, without Ipads and all the other modern technology that we’re use to," said Friends of the Log Cabin President John Gebhardt.
Organizers hope this event shows people the importance of preserving the cabins and the friends of the log cabin hope to raise more money to rebuild the school.
