Hannibal Police arrest two men for passing counterfeit money

Lt. John Zerbonia of the Hannibal Police Department has reported the arrest of two men for passing counterfeit money.

Zerbonia stated that Brashawn Noble, 22 of Chicago and Saeed Muhammed, 25 of Markham Illinois, were located and arrested.

Zerbonia stated on Wednesday that HPD had received reports of counterfeit hundred dollar bills being passed at local businesses. On Thursday the police department released an image through social media, of a subject involved. An employee of Walmart recognized one of the subjects in the store and called police.

Zerbonia reported that officers located the vehicle the subjects were traveling in and a search warrant was served on the vehicle. During the search, $7,300 in counterfeit money was located. Both suspects were transported to Marion County Jail and placed on 24 hour holds pending prosecutor review.
