Garrett Hudson is an experienced Marketing Consultant who grows local businesses, often with no additional spending due to his cost-shifting approach.
Garrett is a proud resident of the city of Quincy, who has always gone the extra mile to help people, not only in his own community but in other communities as well.
At a young age, Garrett decided that he would like to join the Missouri National Guard. Determined to follow his dream, Garrett successfully completed his Army Basic Training the summer between his junior and senior year of high school, instead of enjoying his last summer of high school with friends. Upon graduation from high school, Garrett concluded his specialty training with the Missouri National Guard and became a proud member of the 1438th MRBC.
Using his V.A. Benefits from the military, Garrett studied criminal justice through Moberly Area Community College. From there, Garrett was accepted into the Law Enforcement Academy in Moberly Missouri, where he completed specialized police training. He worked in law enforcement for a brief stint of six months prior to moving to Quincy Illinois to join WGEM as a Marketing Consultant.
Garrett has found his niche and feels that working at WGEM has given him the opportunity not only establish a business relationship with area companies, in order to help the small town, locally owned businesses grow and thrive, but at the same time has allowed him to purchase his first home for him and his daughter, Paizley, right here in Quincy.
While working at WGEM, Garrett has realized his passion for helping others and wanted to do more in the community. He became an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce. As an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce, Garrett serves as the public relations arm of the Chamber. He assists with ribbon cuttings, business before/after hours, membership recruitment and retention. Garrett has been a proud member of the Quincy Chamber of Commerce since 2016 and as an Ambassador since the fall of 2017.
Under the Chamber of Commerce umbrella, Garrett is also an active member of the Young Professionals group in Quincy and is part of the Planning Committee.
