A clinic for aspiring young cheerleaders

It was a dream come true for a lot of future cheerleaders, as they got to spend the day on Sunday with their idols.

The Quincy High School cheerleaders held their annual cheer clinic at the school this afternoon.

Everything from cheers, chants, tumbling, and stunting skills were taught to 200 aspiring cheerleaders ranging from three to 13-years-old.

The best part is they all get to perform at the QHS football game on October 13.

The young cheerleaders also signed a banner that the QHS will be running through the night of the game.

“They get to be apart of the game,” said head cheer coach Penny Little. “They get to learn some little things with cheerleading and they just love it. They look so forward to this day.”

Little said the funds raised from this event will help buy new cheer uniforms.
