Flooding has shut down a popular road on the Quincy riverfront.
Bonansinga Drive is shut down between Cedar Street and Koch’s Lane. The road was closed Wednesday afternoon around 3 p.m. Quincy Central Services Director Kevin McClean said they closed the road early, to keep all drivers safe.
“Everybody can get in and out of everything right now,” Central Services Director Kevin McClean said. “We just wanted to get the signs down here kind of in advance just in case we really have to shut it down if anymore people have everything down here.”
They will continue to monitor the water on the road and will keep it closed as water continues to rise.
