A big donation makes a big difference for a local non-profit.
A check for more than $10,000 was donated Wednesday to Quest Stables in Quincy.
The donation was made by the newly formed organization called 100 Women Who Care.
The organization made of 125 women meet four times a year and each contribute $100 to a local non-profit. Those with Quest Stables say they’re thankful the organization chose them as the next recipient.
“It takes us dozens of people working for months and months to hold a fundraiser that raises approximately this amount of money,” said Kori Griffin with Quest Stables. “We can offer free, therapeutic riding to children in need for all year next year.”
Griffin says the money will also be used to help rescue and care for the horses, including paying for vet bills.
