In the Class 2 District 6 Quarterfinals in the “Show Me State”, there was an exciting matchup on the schedule on Wednesday.
Clark County head coach Macy Bross has her Indians ready to face the Tigers of Macon High. MHS is led by head coach Amber Duncan.
Macon started off the scoring early in this contest when Sydney Miller hit and RBI that brought home Alexis Miller. CCHS trailed 1-0 at that point.
In the third inning, Macon’s Jaley Hayes brought in 2 more runs with a timely hit against the Indians. Tigers were in front 4-0.
Later in the 6th inning, Clark County slugger Alexis Ellison muscled a homer out of the park, but the indians still trailed 6-2.
CCHS would score 2 more runs but it would no be enough on this night.
Macon holds on to post a 9-4 victory over the Indians.
Macon will face Monroe City on Thursday at 6:00 pm.
