Kahoka, Mo (WGEM) — Clark County Sheriff Shawn Webster has reported the arrest of two Kahoka, Missouri, women for possession of a controlled substance.
Webster stated that Jordan Brunk, 24 and Laura Nelligan, 22 were arrested Wednesday. Brunk was arrested for being in Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class C felony and for Resisting a Felony Arrest, a Class E Felony. Nelligan was arrested for being in possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class C felony and Possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana.
Webster reported that on Wednesday at 10:14 a.m. members of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office made contact with both women who were in a vehicle parked behind the Kahoka Medical Clinic.
Webster stated that during the contact, illegal drugs were discovered in the vehicle and Nelligan claimed the illegal drugs belonged to her. Members of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office also informed Brunk she had an active warrant out of Lee County, Iowa, and asked Brunk to exit the vehicle. Brunk exited the vehicle and immediately fled on foot but was caught by members of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office after a short foot pursuit.
Both women were transported to the Clark County Detention Center and booked on a 24 hour investigative hold with formal charges pending.
