Quincy (WGEM) — The new Adams County jail is on schedule to be complete next fall with most of the work happening now shifting indoors, according to Jail Committee Member Kent Snider.
Snider says last week crews were working on pouring floors on the first and second floor of the building. In addition to are trying to enclose most of the building by the end of this month before winter weather begins.
“There is one section of wall we haven’t put in yet that will be left open till the end, fairly close to the end to get things in there like the jail cells and that kind of thing,” Snider said.
The committee expects the jail to be done by next fall.
