Traffic stop results in felony drug arrest in Lee Co.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force has reported the arrest of an Argyle, Iowa, man on felony drug charges.

Unit Commander Jay Whitaker stated Skyler Stark, 31, of Argyle, was arrested Sunday on felony drug charges. Stark is charged with the following:

  • Possession of more than five grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, while in possession of a firearm, a class B felony with an enhancement.
  • Possession of a schedule II substance (Acetaminophen Hydrocodone) with intent to deliver, a class C felony.
  • Possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, while in possession of a firearm, a class C felony with an enhancement.

Whitaker stated the arrest of Stark stems from a traffic stop by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit. The Task Force conducted a search of the vehicle where evidence to support the charges were located.

If convicted, Stark faces up to 80 years in a state correctional facility, Whitaker stated.
