Voters strike down sales tax for New London park

Voters in Ralls County voted 51% against a sales tax increase to help rebuild a New London, Missouri, park on Tuesday.

The increase would have been in the amount of one-quarter of one percent per dollar and would have gone towards maintenance and improvements on the New London Community Park.

City officials estimate the tax would have brought in around $25,000 a year.
