Man crashes car into Hannibal home, arrested for intoxication

Hannibal MO (WGEM) — Lt. John Zerbonia of the Hannibal Police Department has reported that a car crashed into a home in Hannibal.

Zerbonia stated that on Thursday officers responded to the 3200 block of St Marys Ave. in reference to a vehicle which had left the road and struck a house.

Officers reported there was extensive damage to the front of the residence. No one was home at the time of the crash.

Zerbonia stated the driver, a 21 year old New London, Missouri, man, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Hannibal Regional Hospital for medical evaluation.

The crash remains under investigation.
