Escaped Inmate Arrested

A Keokuk man who escaped from his work release program is back behind bars.

According to the sheriff’s office Scot A. Flora, 49 years old, was arrested at about 5 p-m on November 14th in the 700 block of Walnut St in Carthage, Illinois.

Flora had an outstanding warrant from the Iowa Department of Corrections for Escape.

During the arrest, officers say they found more than 15 grams of meth and drug paraphernalia.

Several local agencies — including the Macomb/McDonough Drug Unit and West Central Illinois Drug Task Force — were involved in the arrest.
