With falling gas prices, some of you might be able to have some extra cash in your pockets this holiday season.
Two months ago, all three Tri-states had the same average price per gallon of gas at about $2.87 according to Gasbuddy.com.
Around that time, President Trump reinstated sanctions against Iran and oil companies for failing to produce enough oil for the demand.
But now, just two months later, the average prices has dropped at least 50 cents in each state in the Tri-States with Missouri leading the way at $2.09 per gallon.
“The worst part about it is it comes down by pennies and then jumps up by dimes,” said driver Jeff Bauman. “So, that’s the hardest part is you can’t plan for it and nobody carries a tank in their back yard to fill up.”
Gas station attendants said they’ve been busy this week with the lower prices and the expect the same if prices keep falling.
