Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes Win Double Overtime Thriller Against Father McGivney 69-64.

Wednesday night on the prep hardwood, G’ville-Perry beat Father McGivney 69-64 in a double overtime thriller at the semifinals of the North Greene Spartan Classic Consolation Semis.

Lead Scorers: (GP) Ivey 20 pts (12 in OT’s) Kirk 19, Ta. Kunzeman 17. (FMG) Villhard 30 pts, Weir 12, Scott 8.

GP led by as many as 11 pts in the second half before a Griffins run. Avery Bradshaw hit a 3-pt basket with 2 seconds left in regulation to send the game to OT.

Colton Ivey scores 12 of his team high 20 pts, in the Overtime periods to seal the Tornadoes’ first win of the season.

Father McGivney faces Pleasant Hill in Thursday’s 7th place bracket eliminator. GP faces North Greene in Friday’s Consolation Title Game.
