Local landscapers say snow delays business

The snow has caused a mess for people out on the roads and the recent snowfalls have delayed landscaping work as well.

Leffers Landscaping in Quincy says they aren’t used to this many snowfalls this early in the season.

They say typically it’s still dry this time of year and they can get most of their fall work in.
But with the snow, they say they’re behind on that work and trying to catch up each time the snow melts.

“The leaves and like I said just the general clean up of lawns,” said Floyd Leffers. “We’re behind in doing that and we were just raking leaves and stuff yesterday in a yard and cleaning up. We’re not done with that yard yet and we were going to try to finish it up today but that didn’t happen either.”

Leffers says if you want to plant a tree, this is the best time of year for that.
