The Hannibal Free Public Library will host an instructional session on electronic resources Saturday, December 8 at 2:30 p.m.
People attending can learn how to check out electronic books, audiobooks, magazines and much more on your personal electronic device.
The library uses a database called OverDrive, which offers their collection on the website Missouri Libraries 2Go. Hannibal Free Public Library card holders can access the collection on their cellphone, laptop or tablet.
“Whatever device they have we can probably provide some access to electronic information,” Library Director  Hallie Yundt Silver said.
People attending are asked to bring their own personal device they wish to learn on.
To access the library’s electronic resources you must have a library card. Cards are free if you are a resident living in Hannibal and Ralls County. If you live outside the area there is a fee to receive a library card.
