The future of Quincy’s garbage and recycling is still up in the air.

The Garbage and Recycling Committee was supposed to meet Wednesday night to decide on recommendations for garbage, recycling and yard waste pick up. The recommendations would then be passed on to city council for final approval.

However, three of the five committee members were no shows, including Alderman Jennifer Lepper, Alderman Richie Reis and Committee Chairman Tony Sassen.

The lack of committee members in attendance forced Mayor Kyle Moore to postpone the meeting.

Aldermen hope the issue will be discussed again next week.
