Stratton named Miss Title Town Outstanding Teen

A local student was crowned at a pageant this weekend.

Taylor Stratton, 15, of Hannibal was crowned Miss Title Town Outstanding Teen at the Roxy Theatre in Maryville, Missouri.

Miss Title Town Outstanding Teen is a preliminary pageant for the Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen Competition.

By earning this title, Taylor is now eligible to compete in the Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen pageant in June at Missouri Military Academy in Mexico, Missouri.

The winner of the Missouri Outstanding Teen title will then advance to the Miss America Outstanding Teen pageant in Orlando, Florida.

Taylor has a platform called, “Out of the Darkness: Suicide Prevention. Taylor has shared information about it to area schools and has spoken with teenagers about the signs and symptoms of suicide.

She will also be making personal appearances in the community throughout her reign and campaigning for various community causes such as the Northeast Missouri Food Bank and the importance of early childhood
literacy.

For the talent portion of the pageant, Taylor performed a tap dance to Bad from the ever-popular, King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

Taylor is a freshman at Palmyra High School
