Hannibal man charged in connection to shooting

Hannibal, MO (WGEM) — A Hannibal man has been charged in connection to a shooting Friday.

Hannibal police stated that on Saturday, a warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of Marion County charging LaMarr Minor with Assault in the First Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

HPD stated that Minors bond was set at $100,000.

HPD did not have an update on the status of the victim.

On Friday, officers stated they were called to the area of Maple St. and Church St. at 1:47 p.m. for a fight in progress between two males. When they arrived on scene they discovered that one of the males had been shot in the upper torso and the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle.

They stated that at 1:51 p.m. officers located the vehicle and the suspect, LaMarr Minor, 41. They stated he was taken into custody without incident.

Officers stated that they located a handgun that was discarded by Minor during his attempt to flee the area.

The victim of the shooting was transported to Blessing Hospital in Quincy and was in stable condition, according to HPD.
