The Cards will travel to Pittsburgh after that series to take on the Pirates in a 2-game set in the Steel City.
The home opener for the Cardinals at Busch Stadium is scheduled for Thursday, April 4 against the San Diego Padres.
The game is part of a seven-game home stand for the Redbirds.
St. Louis will also play a 2 game series in Monterrey, Mexico against the Reds on April 13 and 14.
For the second straight season, all 30 MLB franchises are scheduled to be in action on the diamond on Opening Day 2019.
