City requests no street parking on snow emergency routes

Quincy (WGEM) –  Quincy Mayer Kyle Moore has asked residents not to park on snow emergency routes.

Mayor Moore issued a press release Friday afternoon asking residents to voluntarily comply and not park on snow emergency routes starting  Friday at 6 p.m. through noon on Monday.

Moore stated it will be decided later on Friday or Saturday if a snow emergency will be declared.

If a snow emergency is declared it would apply to the designated snow routes with blue signage.  Vehicles must be moved off these designated routes.  Those not moved are subject to being ticketed and/or towed once there are three (3)inches of snowfall, Moore stated.

Mayor Moore urges everyone to drive safely, and if at all possible, avoid being out on the roads as the conditions worsen.
