The Hannibal Streets Department prepared to deal with the fall out from the snow all day Friday.
Streets department officials said starting when the snow did they’ll have six trucks running 24 hours a day into Sunday– with preparation starting earlier in the day with salting on bridges, overpasses, and major hills.
They’re asking residents to be patient while they work on getting the snow cleared as quickly as possible.
“We will stay with the arteries and major collectors in the beginning, and as the snow tapers off probably Saturday, we’ll start widening out and getting all of the streets,” said Hannibal Streets Department Traffic Lead Rich Dauma.
Streets department officials advised residents to stay off the roads until around 5 p.m. Saturday if possible.
