Weather related crash on Mark Twain Bridge

Hannibal, MO (WGEM) — A two-car crash occurred Friday afternoon around 4 p.m. on the Mark Twain Bridge outside of Hannibal.

Illinois State Police said the crash happened on Hwy 36 westbound heading into Hannibal.

The crash left the westbound lane closed for about an hour leaving traffic backed up several miles into Illinois.

Traffic was flowing again by 5 p.m.

Troopers said the slick pavement and speed were factors.

No word on any injuries
