IDOT issues tow ban for southeast Iowa

Lee County, IA (WGEM) — The Iowa Department of Transportation has issued a tow ban for much of southeast Iowa, including Lee County.

Due to current road conditions throughout southeast Iowa, IDOT issued a tow ban Saturday morning until further notice.

According to the Iowa Department of Public Safety, a tow ban means if your vehicle is stalled or wrecked along the road, it can’t be towed out until conditions improve enough that it’s safe to do so.
