Highland Lady Cougars Post 64-20 Tourney Win Over Mark Twain On Monday

Day 1 of the Tony Lenzini Basketball Tournament was filled with excitement with 4 games on the opening day schedule at Palmyra High School on Monday.

The first game of the day was a 4:30 pm match-up featuring the Lady Cougars of Highland facing the Tigers of Mark Twain.

Cougars head coach Meliea Nieman had her squad ready to go from the opening tip.

HHS (Sr) guard Kaitlin Benson finished this contest with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lady Cougars posted a 64-20 victory over the Tigers at PHS after 4 quarters of action.

HHS is now (12-1) on the season. Addy Johnson led the Cougars with 17 points.

Kennedy Flanagan chipped in with 16 points for the Cougars.
