Quincy teacher Julie Radel was awarded the January WGEM Golden Apple Award.
Radel teaches second grade at St. Francis School.
A native of the Tri-States, Radel is in her 27th year teaching at area schools. She’s taught everywhere from Liberty to Quincy Public Schools and now at St. Francis.
Radel says her interest in teaching started while helping kids with their 4-H projects.
“I realized I liked it so much that I needed to pursue a dream of working with children, and this has been perfect fit,” Radel said.
Coming up tonight on WGEM News at Six, hear from some of Mrs. Radel’s students about why she’s so special.
And, the school’s principal shares why she’s the kind of teacher all principals love to have.
