With schools calling off class again on Wednesday, many parents were left scrambling to figure out where to take their kids for the day.
The Quincy YMCA offers a program where school aged kids can go from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Organizers say on Tuesday they had about 25 kids enrolled and on Wednesday they had 45 kids. You do not have to be a member to drop your child off on days school is cancelled.
“The program is open for the community as a whole,” said YMCA After School Coordinator Cristy Fuller. “We want kids to be safe rather than just being at home alone.”
The cost for the day-program is $20 for a member and $25 for non members.
